8 Ball Strike Cup – Official Tournament Rules

The tournament is conducted in an asynchronous 10-ball match format. All participating players will be divided into groups of 32, and will sequentially compete in the Group Stage, Playoffs, and Championship stages to win a share of the total $80,000 prize pool, including $50,000 Bonus Cash and $30,000 cash. The tournament champion will receive a $10,000 cash prize and a jersey signed by Argentina National Football Team players Lionel Messi, Enzo Fernández, and Julián Alvarez.

June 12, 2026, 00:00 – July 17, 2026, 23:59 (UTC-7)

Registered 8 Ball Strike users from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia are eligible to participate in this tournament.

  • Champion: Takes home $10,000 cash and a jersey signed by Argentina National Football Team players Lionel Messi, Enzo Fernández, and Julián Alvarez.

Players must meet all of the following conditions by Jun 10:

• Registered on 8 Ball Strike for ≥ 28 days.
• Have completed at least one Cash Match in the past 10 days (May 31 - Jun 09)
• Have made at least one deposit.

Note: Players can make a deposit during the Preparation Phase to gain eligibility.

Jun 10, 00:00 – Jun 11, 23:50 (UTC-7)

• Players registered for ≥ 28 days and have completed at least one Cash Match between May 31 - Jun 09 can access the tournament event page to view event information and their eligibility status.
• Players who meet the registration conditions but haven't deposited can make a deposit during this phase to gain tournament eligibility.

Jun 12, 00:00 – Jun 25, 23:59 (UTC-7)

• Ranking Rules:
  • All players are divided into 32 groups and ranked based on their accumulated winnings (Cash + Bonus Cash) from Cash Matches.
  • The top 32 players from each group will advance to the next stage — Playoffs.
  • Players can only view the leaderboard for their assigned group.
• Tiebreaker Rule:
  • In case of a tie, the player who submitted their score first will be ranked higher.

Jun 26, 00:00 – July 5, 23:59 (UTC-7)

• Format Details:
  • The 32 advancing players in each group will compete in a 1v1 single-elimination bracket.
  • The matches will proceed as follows: Round of 32 → Round of 16 → Quarterfinals → Semifinals → Finals / 3rd Place Playoffs.
  • Each round is a Best-of-5 (BO5) series.
  • The top 1–8 players in each group will receive Bonus Cash rewards. The group champion will advance to the Championship stage.
• Match Procedure:
  • Each round has a fixed time window (usually 2 days).
  • Players must complete the following actions within the time window:
    • Enter the corresponding match room.
    • Complete 5 matches and submit score after each match.
    • The round is only considered complete after all 5 match scores have been submitted.
• Win/Loss Determination:
  • After each round ends, the system will evaluate the 5 match scores of the two competing players.
  • Single Match Winner: The player with the higher score wins.
  • Series Winner: The first player to win 3 matches will move on.
• Exception Rules:
  • If a player fails to submit scores within the window → they are considered to have forfeited, scoring 0 points for that match.
  • If neither player submits a score for a single match → the winner is decided randomly.
  • If there is a tie in a single match (and the score is not 0) → the first player to submit their score wins.
• Ranking Rules (5th–8th Place):
  • All losing players from the Quarterfinals will be ranked 5th–8th.
  • Their final ranking will be determined by their highest single-match score during that round, ordered from highest to lowest.
• Playoffs Rewards:
  • The top 1–8 players in each group will receive Bonus Cash rewards according to the following breakdown:
    • 1st: $600 Bonus Cash
    • 2nd: $400 Bonus Cash
    • 3rd: $240 Bonus Cash
    • 4th: $140 Bonus Cash
    • 5th: $80 Bonus Cash
    • 6th: $50 Bonus Cash
    • 7th: $30 Bonus Cash
    • 8th: $20 Bonus Cash
• Playoffs Advancement Rules:
  • The champion of each group will advance to the Championship (32 players in total).
  • Official staff will collect player information via an in-match form for subsequent match scheduling.
  • If a group champion fails to complete the form within the designated time, the invitation will pass to the next player in the group rankings (2nd → 3rd → ...) until a participating player is confirmed.
  • Because Championship matches will be broadcast live, players who advance to the Championship Stage must be willing and able to participate on camera. Players who decline, fail to respond, or do not meet the Championship livestream requirements may forfeit their Championship spot. In such cases, the spot may be awarded to the next highest-ranked eligible player.

July 16, 00:00 – July 18, 23:59 (UTC-7)

• Format Details:
  • The 32 group champions will enter the Championship and compete in a 1v1 single-elimination bracket.
  • All players will share the $30,000 cash prize pool.
  • The match rounds are: Round of 32 → Round of 16 → Quarterfinals → Semifinals → Finals & 3rd Place Playoffs.
  • Each round is a Best-of-5 (BO5) series. Official staff will contact participating players in advance to confirm match schedules and start times. Players must enter and complete their matches within the specified time.
  • The Championship will be livestreamed by the official team.
• Schedule:
  • July 16: Round of 32, Round of 16
  • July 17: Quarterfinals, Semifinals, Finals & 3rd Place Match
• Match Procedure per Round:
  • Players enter the corresponding match room at the designated time.
  • Complete 5 matches and submit score after each match.

  • The win/loss rules are identical to the Playoffs. After each round ends, the system will evaluate the 5 match scores of the two competing players.
  • Single Match: The player with the higher score wins.
  • Match: The first player to win 3 matches wins the match.
• Exception Rules:
  • If a player fails to submit scores within the window → they are considered to have forfeited, scoring 0 points for that match.
  • If neither player submits a score for a single match → the winner is decided randomly.
  • If there is a tie in a single match (and the score is not 0) → the first player to submit their score wins.
• Ranking Rules:
  • Losers in Round of 32: Ranked 17th–32nd
  • Losers in Round of 16: Ranked 9th–16th
  • Losers in Quarterfinals: Ranked 5th–8th
  • Within the same round, all players will be ranked based on their highest single-match score, ordered from highest to lowest, to determine their final placement.
• Championship Rewards:
  • The 32 players will share the cash prize pool according to the rules below. The champion will take home a $10,000 cash prize and a jersey signed by Lionel Messi, Enzo Fernández, and Julián Alvarez.

    • 3rd: $2,500
    • 4th: $2,000
    • 5th–8th: $1,000 each
