After the Storm: Stacie's Story of Motherhood and Finding Calm Through Solitaire Clash

Player Stories Jan 17, 2026

Solitaire Clash believes that behind every game is a real person with a real story. That belief is why stories like Stacie's matter.

"We've been in fight-or-flight mode for over a year. I just want my family to breathe again — even for a few days."

For Stacie, a mother of three from Central Florida, everything shifted in a single moment. About a year ago, both of her daughters were struck by a pickup truck that ran a red light. One was taken by ambulance. The other had to be airlifted to a trauma center. This moment marked the beginning of a deeply personal mother's documentary — a story of motherhood shaped by fear, uncertainty, and resilience.

The Long Road to Recovery

"I had to choose which hospital to go to first," she said through tears. "One daughter needed me emotionally. The other was fighting to survive. No mother should ever have to make that choice."

Recovery was long and demanding. Her youngest daughter had to relearn how to walk. Her eldest daughter, while able to move, continued to deal with spinal injuries, whiplash, and head trauma. Stacie spent three months away from home, staying close to her youngest daughter during recovery. At the same time, her husband, who had been injured at work just a month earlier, drove long distances to be there for their other daughter. There was no financial compensation. No justice. Just pain, strength, and survival.

A Simple Wish for Time Together

"We've never taken a real vacation. Not once."

As a family of five, travel had never really been an option. At most, they managed short trips to the beach or Orlando. Theme parks were too costly, and work responsibilities always took priority. Family getaways simply felt out of reach.

"There's this place in Georgia, St. Simons Island," she shared. "We went once for a cheer competition — the girls and I. It felt like something out of a Hallmark movie. Dolphins at sunrise, charming shops, mossy oak trees… but my husband and son weren't with us. I've always dreamed of taking them back, just once, to all be together in peace."

When Stacie entered the Mother's Day Wishlist Giveaway, she wasn't asking for anything extravagant. Her hope was simple. A clean place to stay. A few quiet days. Time for her family to rest, reconnect, and heal together.

Finding Calm With Solitaire Clash During Overwhelming Days

"I found Solitaire Clash during the hardest time of my life."

While staying at her parents' home during her daughter's recovery, Stacie downloaded Solitaire Clash for the first time.

"I was sitting on the porch one night just scrolling, and I thought, is this game even real? I downloaded it, and before I knew it, I had played for three hours straight."

She laughed as she reflected on that moment. "I feel like my mother-in-law, who loved Solitaire and passed from COVID, sent it to me. I just needed something to help me unwind."

Since then, Solitaire Clash became part of her evening routine. "I play every day — honestly, every night. It's bright, fun, and relaxing. And your Mother's Day live event? I loved every second. You made me feel seen."

A Life Spent Helping Others

For Stacie, it was never about anything more than having a quiet moment for herself, a way to slow her thoughts after long, emotional days.

"Helping others is what I do. But this time, I just wanted someone to help me."

For the past decade, Stacie has run a local community group called Stand Up to Stand Out, supporting families whenever help is needed. "We're not a nonprofit. We just bless people every day."

She has spent years showing up for others. This time, support was coming back to her.

"She danced all night at prom," she said. "She's living her best life again. I think now... maybe it's our turn, too."
