Hi, I'm Vickie—CEO and founder of Avia, and also a lifelong animal lover. I'd like to take a moment to share a story that's very personal to me.
Like many of you, the pandemic changed the rhythm of my life. I found myself spending more time with my family, walking my dog, slowing down—and that's when I met Bebes.
Bebes wasn't mine—she was just a stray, black and white, quiet and gentle. Every day, she would appear at my doorstep right on time, as if she knew she belonged. I began feeding Bebes, watching her grow, and she slowly learned to trust me. But one day, she didn't show up. That morning, I had finally made a vet appointment for her—she had fallen ill and I wanted to help. But I was too late.
That moment stayed with me. It taught me something I'll never forget: for an animal, being seen, being trusted, and being cared for are the most important things in the world.
When I returned to work, I carried that feeling with me. In 2023, Avia adopted two rescue kittens in our office: Tangtang and Jiabao. Tangtang had suffered a ruptured eye before he was three months old. Jiabao had such severe stomatitis that he had to have all his teeth removed. Despite the pain they endured, they survived—and today, they live with us in the Avia office. They've become our gentle daily companions and, more than that, symbols of what it means to be saved and to heal.
These moments are why I believe our mission must go beyond games.
This month, we're proud to launch Play for Paws—a full month of charity actions dedicated to animal rescue and welfare. We've partnered with SPCA Nevada, a long-standing advocate for animals in need, to turn play into purpose.
Throughout the campaign, in Solitaire Clash and Bingo Tour, every time you join our special in-game charity events, a donation will be made.
Tangtang and Jiabao will serve as the official ambassadors of this cause—reminding us that kindness is never wasted, and every small act can change a life.
Let's play for something bigger. Let's play for them.
With gratitude,
Vickie Chen
