Play for Paws Charity Day Recap

As part of Avia's 9th anniversary, we celebrated a truly special occasion—the Play for Paws U.S. Charity Day. This was more than just a philanthropic initiative; it was a moment of connection between our team and the community. On the afternoon of September 18, 8 Avia colleagues and 17 invited local players gathered at the Nevada SPCA, joining forces with animal rescue volunteers to witness how care and responsibility can be turned into real action. Even though Las Vegas (desert climate) experienced a rare heavy rain that day, it did nothing to dampen the enthusiasm of our local players.

We carried out a complete renovation and upgrade of the Nevada SPCA shelter, refreshing details across the walls, tables, and windows to immerse the entire venue in the Play for Paws atmosphere. We also prepared custom TangTang & Jiabao merchandise as special gifts for the players who joined the event!

The event began with a relaxed check-in and a brief opening ceremony. After a simple introduction to the schedule, everyone quickly got into the spirit. In her opening remarks, Vickie thanked SPCA partners and all attendees, emphasizing Avia's commitment to truly living out our mission of "starting from players and empowering the community."Rather than just a celebration, it felt like a shared mission accomplished together.

Guided by SPCA staff, participants toured the shelter in groups, visiting the dog, cat, and small animal areas. For many, it was their first time stepping into such an environment. Faces softened as they saw animals still waiting for new homes. Shelter staff shared rescue stories, giving everyone a more vivid understanding of the value and the challenges of this work. Many colleagues felt firsthand that public welfare is not just a gesture, but a true act of respecting and protecting life.

During the interactive session that followed, the team showed remarkable synergy and dedication. Some rolled up their sleeves for DIY projects, crafting necklaces, accessories, or enrichment toys for the animals; others helped clean the pet kitchen, preparing essentials for daily care; still others spent time with the cats and dogs, grooming their fur and taking photos. Every small effort carried kindness and care. Vickie also personally joined in, making crafts alongside the team and even adjusting a collar for a little dog. Her actions made the atmosphere feel even more genuine and heartfelt, showing that Avia's leadership is not about standing apart and giving orders, but about walking shoulder to shoulder with the team.

The most unforgettable part of the day was the evening dog runway show. Eight dogs, each guided by SPCA volunteers, took turns strutting down the runway, each with its own unique personality and charm. Some wagged their tails with excitement, others quietly enjoyed the gentle pets and attention. The air was filled with laughter and applause as everyone lifted their phones and cameras to capture these precious moments. This segment not only gave the dogs a spotlight of special attention, but also reminded everyone once again that companionship and respect are the simplest yet most genuine forms of care.

At the donation ceremony, Vickie officially announced the results of this contribution and presented a giant check to the SPCA. On behalf of the company, she expressed deep respect for the SPCA and looked forward to continued collaboration in the future. SPCA's director, Lori, was moved to tears, saying that Avia was one of the best partners they had ever worked with. She expressed special thanks to Avia not only for providing resources, but also for bringing genuine action and care. The event concluded with a group photo, capturing everyone's smiles in a moment to remember.

During this offline charity day, participating players shared how deeply moved they were. Many mentioned that it was a profoundly meaningful experience—not only did it give them a better understanding of the realities of animal rescue, but it also made them feel that they were truly making a difference in the lives of these animals.

Players expressed hope to join more meaningful offline events like this in the future. One player was even brought to tears, saying they had never imagined that, beyond gaming, warmth and strength could be shared in such a powerful way.

For Vickie, her hands-on involvement embodied Avia's culture: results-driven yet caring, innovative yet responsible.

On this day, we not only carried out a successful Charity Day event, but also gained warmth and strength. It reminded us that nine years of growth is not just about numbers and achievements—it is about the connections we build with our community, our players, and with life itself.
